Hello,
If I copy a visual in a Pbix workbook and paste it in a master Pbix workbook, will I have two copies of the underlying data in the master Pbix workbook? In other words, will I have duplicate data tables in the master Pbix workbook? Thank you.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Nope. You are just copying the visual. No impact on the underlying data model.
If this works for you, please mark it as the solution. Kudos are appreciated too. Please let me know if not.
Regards,
Pat

No. Visuals have NO data. If the underlying data isn't in the destination PBIX file, with the measures and fields having the same names, you'll just get a gray box with an error.
DAX is for Analysis. Power Query is for Data Modeling
