Hey all!
I have a master page with multiple categories represented as individual buttons. I'd like the user to click on the button, which will drill down to a child page, and filter the page for the value in the text of the button.
Ex. Button text says "Red Cars"--upon click, user is taken to child page filtered for "Red Cars"
I'm unsure how I can have the button text act as a filter value for the field "Car Color"

Hi @SherpaPSU ,
It's not supported to use the value in button as filter currently.
You could submit this as an idea.
There are several ways to achieve a similar effect.
1# Create pages for each color then set action for the buttons to jump to the corresponding page.
2# Create a page and set drillthrough for this page then set set action for the buttons to jump to the drillthrough page. You will need to selecte the color so that the drillthrough button would be available.
3# Create bookmarks for each color then set action for the buttons to jump to the corresponding bookmark.
Best Regards,
Jay

@SherpaPSU I don't think that is possible until you create a page for each category that is pre-filtered and then click on the button action you go to the respective page, although it is not a very smart solution. You should put the category column in a table visual and then add a button to drill thru which will work. Check here how you can add a button for the drill thru page Create a drillthrough button in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
