Hi Community,
I have a matrix visual showing count of employees, from where the user needs to drillthrough to details like employee name.
So if the user drillthrough from count of this month i want to show details specidic to this month and previous month.
for eg. user drill through from december, i want to show details of employees in december and november.
Is it somehow possible to overcome this drillthrough monthly filter that gets carried from the selectedmonth?
@KarenFingerhut
"shadow copy of your fact table that is not impacted by the drillthrough filters" Could you elaborate on this?
Does a shadow copy mean, i need to have 2 visuals one for drilldrough and one the orginal?
Is it possible that once the user drillthrough from November a filter for november is automatically applied on the drillthrough page. Could we write a measure that overrides this defualt meaure and show monthly data for october and november?
You don't need two visuals but you need tow copies of the table.
Remember that a custom drillthrough page is an empty canvas - the only difference is that there is an additional filter preapplied.
yes, you need to have a shadow copy of your fact table that is not impacted by the drillthrough filters. Then write a measure that senses the drillthrough filters and applies the modified version (plus prior month) to the shadow copy.
