Hello everyone, I have a situation where I need to set a drill through from specific columns coming from different Fact Tables and Dim Tables, like Year of Account, Operating Country, Domicile Country and so on; and different measures set like count of policies, Net Premium, etc.. I am using multiple fact tables and dim tables on the drill through page as well, how can I filter the data to show only items with data, and not bring any other categories from the dimtables? What I want to achieve is to keep all the policies even whether they have exposure or not . Thank you in advance for any support
Drill-through functionality in Power BI works by using the relationships defined in your model to filter data between pages. When you drill through, Power BI passes the context from the selected data points (e.g., columns from fact or dimension tables) to the drill-through page. This means that only data that has a relationship in your model will be passed through, based on the filters selected.
If you're using multiple fact and dimension tables, you might encounter situations where unwanted categories from dimension tables are included. To limit this, it's crucial to ensure your model's relationships and your drill-through fields are correctly set up to align with what you want to filter. However, achieving this while keeping all policies, even those without exposure, might require adjusting how your relationships are defined or using DAX measures that handle blank values accordingly.
As for the image you provided, it's a bit challenging to interpret, as the format isn't clear enough to fully understand your setup. If possible, it would be really helpful to share a dummy file that better represents the issue. This way, we could dive deeper into the specifics of your model and provide more targeted assistance.
