Drill Through Button using Dropdown Value

I am trying to configure a drill through button. I have my drill through page configured and the column in the drill through filter values.  The value I want the button to pass is the selected value from a dropdown list. I set single selection on the drop down list and on the button chose Drill Through for the action and my drill through page for the destination.  However, the button is always greyed out even after selecting a value from the dropdown.  The tooltip states select To drill through to [PageName] select a single data point from [FieldName].  Shouldn't I have a single point from field name since I have selected it from the drop down?  I have also tried creating a measure to get the selected value which does display the correct selected value and using that in the drill through page filter but I get the same message about selecting a single data point.

I don't think you can drillthrough from a slicer.  Has to be a visual that actually supports the drillthrough action like a table or matrix.
