Distinct count shows different result when drill-though

Hi there,

Hope you can point me in the right direction with this easy question 🙂

I use a measure to calculate the unique suppliers per buyer:

unique suppliers = DISTINCTCOUNT(SP[supplier_code])

In my table it results e.g. in 24 suppliers for buyer 1
However, when I use drill-through on the value for buyer 1 the supplier list only shows 20 suppliers.
What do I do wrong here?

Hi @Natascha ,

Maybe it is because of EU/NA classification that your data appears 7?

In the visual you drillthrough, there are EU/NA.

@Natascha , Grand total of distinct count should be <= total count.

This is strange. I think there is a filter on the drill through report

it not

Can you share sample data and sample output in table format? Or a sample pbix after removing sensitive data.

Hi Amitchandak,

Hope I can show you this way. 1st attachment = table/chart and I take the highlighted as example. No slicers on this page and no filters. RESULT = 10. 2nd attachment = detail list of suppliers (no filters). RESULT = 7.
