This feels like it should be a really simple fix but I cannot figure it out for some reason. I have a matrix with dates as the rows, but I want to add a corresponding column for the day of week it is, which is already in the tables. However, when I try to add this to the visual, it works like a drill through on the date.
It seems pretty straightforward and I'm not sure what I need to do differently. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

@AnonymousThat's because you're using a stepped layout. If you keep the day of the week in the row well, navigate to the format pane for the matrix, then turn off stepped layout within the Row headers section, it will display how you want it to.
@Anonymous Just go in to the matrix format settings and turn off Row subtotals and you should be good to go.
If I answered your question, please mark my reply as the solution. Kudos are appreciated too. Thanks!

If I try putting Weekday as a column and drill down it look like this:
Is there something I am missing? Thanks

I don't see "Options" under Row header.
Now it's the tabular selection under Layout
Nevermind! Was able to fix row subtotals
Thank you! That does it! One last thing however, the new column shows double values for weekday then a total underneath. I'm tring to play with all the settings to figure out how to get rid of that. Here's a pic
