Display names on Shape map visual

I am trying to use the preview feature Shape Map visual to display a floorplan.

I use QGIS to draw the floorplan. Each shape have 2 attributes: ID, Roomname. In the QGIS each roomname are displaying correctly.

However when I export to geojson. All the roomnames are not showing.

All I need is displaying the room name in Power BI Shape map visuals. Users don't need to click on it or mouseover each shape to see the room name.

How can I do it?

When you "view keys" in the shape map do you see what should be there?
Alternativel you could try using the Icon Map custom visual

When I "view keys" all ID are listed but I need the key displaying on top of shape.

In last a few days, I have tried Icon Map, the functions are well-developed and very close to what I need. Thanks for your suggestion. The only problem is Icon-map is designed for country size map. When I import my floorplan (in geojson format), the scale and zoom works weird. Also the support email is not responding.

I think the shape map visual needs a topoJSON but I am not sure what you are describing is an actualy problem in Power BI Desktop?

Can you maybe be more specific, then someone will surely be able to help.

Hi Brunner,

You're right that Shape map visual need a topojson. I am using mapshaper.org to convert the geojson to topojson. When I am doing so, I aware the "roomnames" are not showing in mapshaper.org's preview. They are not showing after I import the topojson to Power BI shape map visual, too.

Yes, it could be a problem of Power BI shape map because it does not have the ability to display a name of each region (or shape, ploygon). I am looking for work around to display it.
