Display actual daily values in line chart with multiple lines (per year)

Hi everyone,

I have a customer with the following use case:

• They work with daily values, they currently have an Excel file in which they document the values per day and these daily values are displayed in a line chart with a line per year (2018 - to date).
• The months January to December are on the X axis and the daily values are on the Y axis. So if I move the mouse over the individual lines, the actual values per day including the date are displayed.
• Now our customer wants to transfer the whole thing to Power BI because of the many advantages. Now we have connected and implemented the data source with Power BI, but unfortunately I fail at the point where the actual daily values are displayed. I only get to the averages/summary values per month.

Is it even possible to display daily values in a line chart with the month in the x axis? And if so, what have I not considered?

I would be very grateful if you could give me some food for thought!

Don't use auto date/time hierarchies.

Note that the line chart visual can only render up to 5000 data points.
