I have a simple matrix visual that is showing a two-tiered hierarchy with a single metric
Data:
| AREA NAME | EQUIPMENT | METRIC | EXTRA INFO |
| Area 1 | Eq 1 | 1 | abc |
| Area 1 | Eq 2 | 2 | def |
| Area 2 | Eq 3 | 3 | ghi |
| Area 2 | Eq 4 | 4 | jkl |
| Area 2 | Eq 5 | 5 | mno |
| Area 3 | Eq 6 | 6 | pqr |
Visual
I have set the row subtotals on EQUIPMENT to be white font on white background so there is a space between each Area (note: I have tried to do what I am about to ask with row subtotals off and "Blank Rows" on, but get the same results)
I have a tooltip page that displays extra information about the particular piece of equipment in a hover-over. I can control the information displayed on tooltip when hovering over a subtotal by using HASONEVALUE(), but I would rather have the tool tip completely suppressed so it doesn't look like there's missing data.
Single Row:
Subtotal/blank row
Is there a way to disable the tooltip on subtotals and/or blank rows in a Matrix visual?
Thanks,
David

@dedelman_clng unfortunately you cannot dynamically control the visibility of the tooltip. Maybe put this as an idea on the ideas forum if doesn't exist already.

Hi @dedelman_clng
No, unfortunately, the tooltip will show up in every row of the matrix including totals & subtotals.
The maximum you can do is workarounds with the object on the tooltip that will be white when hovering on the unwanted rows + some message to the user.
Something like :
if this can help I attached a pbix, you can follow my steps.
