Disable Power Automate Visual Button Until Flow Completes

Hello PowerBI Experts,

I’m using the Power Automate visual in Power BI. When a user clicks the button, it immediately triggers the flow — but there is no check to see if the flow is already running.

What I would like to achieve is:

  • When the user clicks the button, it should be disabled until the flow completes.

  • Once Power Automate sends back a response that the flow has finished, the button should be enabled again.

Is there any way to handle this (either within Power BI or via Power Automate) to prevent multiple flow triggers until the first one is completed?

Thanks,

Vijay

None of that is even remotely possible. If this is important to you please consider voting for an existing idea or raising a new one at https://ideas.fabric.microsoft.com

Note that Translytical Task Flows have some slightly better process control but only slightly.

I did not undersatnd the solution you have provided.

I did not provide a solution. You should raise an idea for this.

Are you saying this functinality is not supported currently in PowerAutomate Visual and there is no workaround to achieve this?

Yes, that is what was trying to articulate in my initial response.

None of that is even remotely possible.
