HI,
I am working on a Matrix visual and have fields like Year, Period and week. I want these fields in separate columns rather using in hierarchy.
Please suggest how to do this.
Thanks

Hi @Anonymous ,
If I understand your requirement correctly that you want to show the matrix like this?
If you want to disable the Drill down/expand option in matrix visual, you could turn off it in visual header and it will work in power bi service.
If I misunderstood your requirement, please share your desired output so that we could help further on it.
Best Regards,
Cherry
First go to Format visual->row header->+/- icon and uncheck it.
After first step finished gotot Layout and style presets and change layout to Tabular and click on the drill down option on the visual to see the data
Hi @Anonymous ,
You could create the calculated column to calculate the Year, Month, Quarter and Week with Dax functions separatly.
Please refer to the functions below.
WEEKNUM(<date>, <return_type>)
If you still need help, please feel free to ask.
Best Regards,
Cherry
Hi @v-piga-msft /Cherry,
Thanks for your comment but i already have those fields (year, period and week) and this is not the issue.
The issue was to use them in a separate columns rather putting them in heirarchy.
I have achieved that by right click on the field and then click on 'Expand to next level' option. You can suggest if there is another way to achieve it.
Thanks.

Hi, this answer looks to be the previous version of Power BI. Those options have changed, and the drill-down toggle option doesn't look like it's there anymore. ould someone, please provide an updated solution? That would be really helpful! Thanks!
