Direct Query with an API

Hi all,

I created a report using "Get data > From Web" and then connecting to an API for Dynamics 365.  How can i set up this datasource to be direct query?  I saw no option to set this up when connecting to the API, and not sure how to change it if import is the default.

There used to be the info on whether a report is import / direct query bottom right of desktop but not seen that for ages.

I am using version 2.106.582.0 64-bit .

Have i done something wrong?

Thanks

Roger

Hi , Is there any limitations of Direct Query method with an API. Like No. of records, No of columns we can fetch and data source connections etc ? we have requirement to bring more than 50 API's using direct query method.

Thank you, helpful.  So basically what i am trying to do is not a good idea after reading that.  Having read that i am going to see if we can bring the data table into our own server and then use a gateway connection. (can use import for the data then)
