How can I filter in Direct Query Mode on Datasets of a Date-Field with the today or now function?

In your scenairo, you can create a calculated column to compare the date field with the Today() function, then you can place this calculated column in page filter or report filter to filter date based on checked values. See:
DateBeforeToday = IF(test0810[date]=Today(),"Today","NotToday")
Also you can define the filter when you connect to the database (assume it's SQL Server database) like below:

Thanks! It works with direct Live Connections on SQL.
It does not work on SQL Server analysis Services Database... There is no option to add meaures in PowerBI....
