Direct Connection to Word?

Why is there a direct connection to PDF available but not Word?

I mean Word is a Microsoft product.

Hi @Stuartm1983 ,

Current PowerBI neither contains word connector nor support rich text format.(if your force import word contents, power bi will not recognize these rich tags and save them as normal text string)

Maybe you can try to use additional connector drivers to get data from word or save it as rich text format to use text connector to get data.
