Difference between data in Query Editor and Data View

Hi All,

I have come across a wierd issue and have no idea how to resolve it.

I have a table that has the following columns:

  1. [Build]
  2. [Branch]
  3. [Total]
  4. [Successful]
  5. [Attempted]
  6. [Score]
  7. [BuildDate]

When I import this sql view in powerbi I see the correct values displayed in the query editor. Please reference the screenshot below:

However, as soon as I load the data and I look at it in Data View the numbers are not the same as query editor. The numbers displayed in Data View are not correct and should match the one's in Query Editor.

Methods tried to fix this problem are as followed:

  • Disabled the relationship KPIScore table has with any other table - no change
  • Removed the filters from the page - no change in values
  • Imported just the KPIscore table in a new powerbi file and it works as expected

Please tell me what's the issue here and what I need to do to resolve it.

Thanks!

Unsure without more info, but one reason could be that query editor shows chached data. The view may be from a few days old. You can try clicking refresh preview and see if this updates it
