Diference displaying fields when using Import and DirectQuery options

Hello experts,

I'm using the PowerBI Desktop to create a report. I'm connecting with SAP BW platform. However, my source has a huge volume of data to be imported using "Import" option then I used "DirectQuery" option.

When I use "DirectQuery" data is displayed very fast but the problem is: I'm using a master data to represent my cost center and I'm can't see key and text at the same time as I see when I use "Import" option.

I could use as a workaround creating a new characteristic to display the cost center description in my ADSO but if it would be possible to display this information in "DirectQuery" like it is displayed in "Import". It would be better.

Best regards

Roger

Hello Jimmy Tao,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I made a workaround in SAP BW to deliver what my customer needs.

So, I don't need to keep this ticket opened.

Best regards,

Hi rogeriosouzax,

You said "I'm using a master data to represent my cost center and I'm can't see key and text at the same time as I see when I use "Import" option." What does this mean? Could you please provide some screenshots and details about your issue?
