Desktop shortcut, install location

I just installed Power BI and would like to add a shortcut to my desktop and my quicklaunch.

I usually right click an app in the start menu and go to the file's location to drag a shortcut from there, but that option isn't available. I suspect this is because I installed the application from Microsoft Store.

How can I access the executable itself? I didn't find it under C:\Program Files (or x86).

How can I create shortcuts to the app?

Hi @Anonymous ,

Please create Shortcut to App from Applications folder:

  1. Open File Explorer (Win+E).
  2. Type shell:appsfolder into the address bar, and press Enter to open the Applications folder showing your installed apps. (see screenshot below)

These tiles are not possible to right-click-drag to the desktop because they do not behave like normal start menu tiles. You can try it yourself by attempting the action on a pinned tile.
