Desktop data refresh fails after Oct Update

After installing the Oct release (64bit), I am not able to connect to/refresh data sources any more (SQL / SSAS). The data sets refresh just fine when uploading a revised report/dataset to the service (using gateway), but fails when a refresh is initiated from the Desktop client. Reports and datasets were created in July release (32bit).

Error message:

Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'The provider 'Microsoft.PowerBI.OleDb' is not registered. The following system error occured: Class not registered. A connection could not be made to the data source with the Name of xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Any ideas on what has gone wrong?

I haven't reproduced your issue. You may send a frown for this issue. I suggest you uninstall your July update Power BI Desktop completely. Update the Enterprise Gateway into latest version. Then re-install your Power BI Desktop latest update (2.40.4554.463 released on 11/3). If the refersh still doesn't work, I suggest you re-create your reports in latest version Power BI Desktop.

Regards,

It seems that something with the installation was corrupt. A fresh installation worked wonders, all good now.
