Desktop Publishing Issue - Sign On

Hi, 

I have upgraded to the new PBI July update - i have since been getting an error message saying, "You don't seem to have an account for Power BI. Please click the button to sign up" when i try to publish a report. I do have an account, as i am PBI administrator for my company. I have only got this issue since updating. Is anyone experiencing this?

The account mentioned in "You don't seem to have an account for Power BI. Please click the button to sign up" is Power BI service account, rather than computer account. 

When you click on Publish button in Power BI desktop, it requires us sign in Power BI service account. For detail information, you can see: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-upload-desktop-files

In your scenario, it looks like you don't have a Power BI service account. If yes, please sign up a Power BI service account firstly follow this document: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-self-service-signup-for-power-bi

Hi @Mk2018, 

There is a new Power BI desktop version 2.72.5556.701 released yesterday. Please update Power BI desktop to this version, sign in your Power BI account firstly then publish the report.

I have a service account, i have never had an issue with publishing reports, only since i upgraded to the July 2019 desktop version.
