I have a dashboard on Power Bi and every time I try to refresh the data, the new rows or older data that changed status, does not refresh on the dashboard instantly not untyl several minutes or hours has passed. The data is uploaded from a query on Excel, and this query gets his data from power apps.
Dashboards only refresh when the underlying dataset changes. Did you mean to say Report?
I'm not so sure what's the difference between dashboard and report, I'm new on this. I did a research, and I think you're correct, I meant to say Report.
I have a table on excel (which by the diagram would be Dataset A), and I uploaded that table to power bi, but something felt wrong about the data I was vieviwng on some charts. So I verified it by using the ID column my excel table has, I put the ID column on a table on power bi, but not all the IDs are being uploaded after I refresh mi power bi. It takes several minutes or even a couple of hours to being able to see it. I hit the refresh button and not all the new rows are uploaded, but power bi does not show any error message on uploading de data
This is the ID colum on power bi
And this is the ID column on excel. As you can see, there are new rows that are not upload to power bi, but for some reason power bi does not detect them, I am not sure if it has something to do with any configuration of the query.
Sorry if I can't share with you any file, it has sensitive information and it's a large file and it'll take me a lot of time to share a clean version.
Are these files stored on a Sharepoint/OneDrive?
Refresh a dataset from OneDrive or SharePoint Online - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
Once you save the file, Power BI service syncs with those changes too, usually within about an hour.
No, it is store on a share folder, as well as the pbix file. I can store the excel files as a local file on my computer and change the path on the pbix (this needs to be kept on the share folder). This could be a solution?
A share folder or a SharePoint folder? Sharepoint is the same as OneDrive, for the purpose of this discussion.
Is this on-premise or in the cloud? If on-premise - do you have a gateway and a refresh schedule?
It's a Sharepoint in the cloud
please refer to my previous reply.
