Delay Data Table Refresh from SQL Database in Visual

Hi. First time posting here and really hope someone can assist. I need help delaying a data refresh on a very large data table (30m rows) from our SQL Database. I'm using it with 9 other files (smaller data tables from the same database and a few Excel files). I am only changing info from the smaller datasets for my visual updates. But, every time I leave Edit Queries, it updates everything. And this takes about 1 hour...too long to wait to work in a visual. Thank you! Pam

Well, the post answers my question and says it will not work.  And while my question was answered, it was not a solution.
