Is there a way to get a different shape for milestones, rather than a bar?
Is there a way to change the order of tasks on the Gantt Chart?
I am really just looking for more tips and tutorials on different ways to format this Gantt chart so it will look more like the Gantt Chart that appears in Microsoft Project.
I am using this gantt chart too and for the most part I think it is brilliant. However I am struggling to sort the tasks in the order I want. It seems to only sort in alphabetical. Any suggestions?
Also I'd like to be able to go down to week level on the time line (currently smallest interval is month), and I'd like to change colours of tasks and date line.
I think this is the best gantt chart power bi offers but these limititations are bothering me (if user error please educate me!)
Hi @emilyh1 ,
To customize the appearance of milestones in your Gantt chart, including changing their shapes from the default bar representation, you would typically need to adjust the bar style settings. While the specific steps can vary depending on the tool or platform you're using, the general approach involves accessing the Gantt chart's formatting or style settings and selecting the milestone category. Here, you can often choose different shapes or icons to represent milestones.
Changing the order of tasks on a Gantt chart typically involves adjusting the underlying data or task list that the chart is based on. This might mean reordering the tasks in the data source or applying a sort order in the Gantt chart's settings. Since Gantt charts visualize tasks based on their scheduled start and end times, ensuring your tasks are correctly ordered in the data source is crucial. For more specific steps, it would be helpful to know the software or platform you're using, as the process can vary.

I am trying to use this Gantt chart in Power BI. In this chart there is no field spot for Milestones.
