Hi,
We have a report wherein Target vs Actual values are shown.
The targets are revised over time.
Is there any way to link the targets to Date as follows-
Start date to Change date 1 = Target 1
Change date 1 to Change date 2 = Target 2
Change date 2 to Date today = Target 3
Hello,
I need your help to set the targets for the upcoming months (Oct 2022- SEPT 2023) BASED on the historical data, I have the historical data from 2019 to 2022, so we go like Oct 2020-Sept 2021, Oct 2021-Sept 2022, Oct 2022-Sept 2023(I want to set the targets for these months) for 80 different programs or categories.
Is There any formula or any Dax function available.
I will highly appreciate the response.
Thank you
Hi @sayali_deshmukh ,
i'm not sure what you mean.
Maybe if you just save the changes and create a running total over them?
You may download my PBIX file from here.
Hope this helps.

Hi @mwegener
We want to maintain Target history as per table below so that when a particular date is selected the targets will be updated accordingly in visuals.
| Date | Target T1 | Target T2 | Target T3 | Target T4 | Total Target |
| 23-07-2019 | 2 | 4 | 5 | 14 | 25 |
| 24-07-2019 | 2 | 4 | 5 | 14 | 25 |
| 25-07-2019 | 2 | 4 | 5 | 14 | 25 |
| 26-07-2019 | 2 | 4 | 5 | 9 | 20 |
| 27-07-2019 | 2 | 4 | 5 | 9 | 20 |
| 28-07-2019 | 2 | 4 | 5 | 9 | 20 |
| 29-07-2019 | 2 | 4 | 5 | 9 | 20 |
| 30-07-2019 | 1 | 4 | 5 | 9 | 19 |
| 1 | 4 | 5 | 9 | 19 | |
| 1 | 4 | 5 | 9 | 19 | |
| 1 | 4 | 5 | 9 | 19 | |
| 14-01-2019 ( Date Today) | 1 | 4 | 5 | 9 | 19 |
Hi @sayali_deshmukh ,
I don't understand her current question.
Do you use a date table that can be used to filter the target and actual table together?
For the target value, I would use the described running total measure, since it provides a plausible value at the various aggregation levels (day, month, year, etc.).

Marcus
