Hi, I'm trying to do week on week comparison using line chart visual of datetime data.
So my x-axis should be day-time (e.g. Mon 09:00) going from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:45 in 15 min increments and y-axis is value. My dataset is quarter hourly.
I've managed to graph it but the graph ends up being very wide as it displays every x-axis value and requires a slider, see below.
Is there a way to configure my day-time field or the x-axis parameters so it compresses the graph to the space allowed and drops x-axis value labels as necessary?
Hi @rchristie ,
First of all, because your X-axis values are text, you can't change the visual effects of the X-axis without changing the values. In other words, the X axis must be displayed as an categorical value.
Maybe you can split the day-time field into day and time columns (You can do it in Edit Queries) and use the "Drill up / down" feature to achieve the visual effect.
Best regards,
Lionel Chen
