Dax formula help

I have chart visual which shows Target value by month and user.

The desired outcome should be a value of 10 per month per user.

However it returns 50 due to there being 5 users in the dataset, so it does 10 Target value x 5 users = 50.

The DAX formula is:

Target = SUM('Target '[Target])

I suspect I need to introduce CALCULATE/FILTER expression, but cannot acheieve the correct result.
Any suggestions please?

If your target will change depending on the month and you already have that captured in your data (assuming 'Target'[Target] is the value) you can also use MIN or MAX instead of SUM.

If your target will always be 10, you can just have your DAX be: Target=10

It's just a coincidence that its always 10. The target value can be different each month which will get update in the source table.

If your target will change depending on the month and you already have that captured in your data (assuming 'Target'[Target] is the value) you can also use MIN or MAX instead of SUM.

Thank you. Changing it to MIN or MAX gives the desired output, but I don't understand why it works.

I need to see if how it behaves with different source values.
