Date table and Matrix Confusion
Hello BI Community!
I am running into a bit of confusion in the use of a date table, and how it affects a Matrix table of mine.
When I leave my date table unmarked, my matrix table is able to have a date hieararchy when I use dates as columns. However, I would like the ability for my slicer to have the capabilities it does when it is a date table (such as relative dates).
When I mark my date table as a date table, however, my matrix automatically undoes the hierarchy in the date columns, and shows each day when I would like it to still show each month.
Does anyone know a solution to this?

You could use the date function to add calculate column in the table which is unmarked as date table
