Hi,
I have created a matrix and I put the date in the columns field.
It gives me the information I want, but I want to start with the most recent year and previous years should be more to the right. It now starts with the oldest year available.
Is it possible to change the order in the Matrix visual?
Hi @lekkerbek,
As the @Greg_Deckler posted, please click the triangle button highlighted in red line at the column hearder, order by data ASC or DESC.
If this doesn't resovle your problem, please post detail information or screenshot.
Best Regards,
Angelia
Hi,
I believe you are referring to a table? My problem is with the matrix.
Hi @lekkerbek,
It's a matrix, I don't add the legend level, so it likes table. Based on your description, you can choose data rather than hierarchy.

Angelia
Ah I see what you mean, but my date is the columns section (and needs to be there for the correct presentation).
Hi @lekkerbek,
As I tested, we are unable to order the data directly in column level in Matrix visualization. Please review this article. Thanks for understanding.
Best Regards,
Angelia
Thanks for your suggestion. I get the following error when doing that:
Expression.Error: We cannot convert the value #date(2016, 12, 31) to type Number. Details: Value=31-12-2016 Type=Type
Perhaps I should just wait untill the feature is implemented.
Sounds like you just need to adjust the order in the Rows section of the visual, you can just drag and drop the columns to change the order.
