Date slicer return diference result based on how user interact with it.

Sorry for spam but I can't find my previous post after I edit for more detail explanation.

Hi Community Experts,

I have date range slicer in my report. I want this slicer end date auto select lastest date that have data.

My data:

1 Table with 2 columns:

Date - using in filter.

Is_data_ready: 1 for date have daily data, 0 for date that not have data ready.

Visual:

1. Date filter between 2 date, apply a visual filter with condition is_data_ready = 1

2. Simple table show Date and Is_data_ready for test.

I'm find out our report have a very strange behavior of date slicer:

When I select end date is 2020-11-25 then change end date to 2020-11-26 --> Date table show all record.   (image 1)

When I select the date is 2020-11-27 then change end date to 2020-11-26 --> Date table show only date between 2 start date and end date. (image 2)

This happend when I connect PBI desktop to SSAS 2019 in live connection mode too.

My questions:

1. Is that behavior is nomal, I don't think it mean to work that way. Is their any explaination for that?

2. How can I make end-date auto update to lastest date with data available after data refresh. (I'm using SSAS 2019 and live-conect to PBI service).

Thank for reading.

Any advices are appreciated.

Hello @hoangtm ,

"1. Is that behavior nomal, I don't think it means working that way. Is that your explanation for that?

This problem exists, you can go send an idea.

Idea

To resolve this issue, you can add a page-level filter or add a filter to the table visual.

"2. How can I automatically update the end date to the most recent date with the data available after the data refresh. (I'm using SSAS 2019 and live-connect to the PBI service)."
