Date range filter overrides date filter on page

Hello,

I have a date range filter (OrderDate) set on the page to display the previous 12 months. On this page, I also have a date filter (OrderDate) visual that I want to allow the user to narrow down the informaiton, within the page-level filter.  How do I force the visual to abide by the filter set at the page level?

Cheers,

Peter

Hi @Anonymous ,

Is your description as follows: You have a slicer filter and a page-level filter, but you only need the latter to filter the visual effect? May wish to refer to the following settings:

Use the edit intraction function to close the interaction between the slicer and the visual. Only the page level filter has an effect on the visual.

I would create a new calculated table, that is a new date dimension that dynamically filters for the past 12 months.  Then when you leverage this new calculated date table in both Page and Visual filters you will only be able to filter with the dates available.
