Hi All,
I am having a senario where my tables have multiple date columns and wanted to show data from Multiple tables on Report Screen with multiple visualizations.
I have a Data Modeling like (Table R, Table C, Table S) and created Date_Dim table with a calendar year.
Created a relation between the Date_Dim (One to Many Relationship to Table R, Table C and Table S).
Now when we are using slicer in Power Pivot, with Date Slicer where we pulled the date fro Date_Dim column, we are not able view the data accordingly.
We are using Card Visual to display information through measures defined.
Please help how to fix this issue.
Regards
Srini
The configuration seems fine. Just make sure dates do not have timestamp. If it has time stamp then create a date column and join with it (TIme other than 12:00 AM)
Date = [Timestamp].date
Also check you date covers all dates from MIN to Max of all tables.
Can you let us know about exact issue.
Can you share sample data and sample output.
Hi Amit,
Thanks in advance.
As this data belongs to my organization and bit sensitive, I will not be able to share this information.
I have marked the Dim_date Table to Date field to Date Data type as suggested by you, still I was not able view the visualizations data getting refreshed based on the dates..
The data source is an Excel file, which comes out from out ticketing software. We have imported each of these sheets into Power Bi.
We have created a Data Modeling based on the relations to pull the Data.
We want to filter the data based on the Dates Choosen in the Date filter(Slicer), where the soruce for date is Dim_Date Table which was manually created by us.
We have few measures created which will display the numbers in the Card Visualization, and these numbers perfectly work well if we are filtering based on the catagory as Manager Slicer / Group Slicer.
But when we use Date slicer and select the dates between an interval the the Card visualization turn Blank, we know we have data for that period.

Hi,
How did you create your calendar? Why your date column is the identity field, please see the difference between your calendar table and the calendar table that I created and it works well.
Best Regards,
Dedmon Dai
Hello ,
Those are the Null values, if you filter you'll be able to view the dates,
Basically there are multiple sheets & multiple dates, but I want relationship between only few selected dates & create a common link which is dim_Date, I tried all the option but unfortunately non of these are working out.
