Hey community,
currently im struggeling with my date-slicer. By choosing an Fiscal-Year my visual does not show me the order-values from the previous fiscal-years. In my case, I need to display which orders from previous fiscal years are still active and have outstanding amounts for invoicing. Do you have any best practises or have any experience /ideas which you want to share with me?
Here some Information concerning my semantic model:
Datasource = SQL-Database which contains raw tables from an ERP System. The tables always show the current status and no history of the data is provided. (Reference Slow Change-Type 1)
Data-Model = Multiple Star-Schema (all facttables references to the sames dimensions with surrogated keys)
Tables =
| Dimensions | Facts |
dim_businessline dim_calendar (created via DAX) dim_parts dim_employee dim_order dim_invoice dim_packingslips | f_orderitems f_invoiceitems f_packingslipitems
|
@Bonkers , with help from the calendar/date table you can use measures like
Financial year ending 3/31
YTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD('Date'[Date],"3/31"))
Last YTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Year),"3/31"))
