Hi All
I have querying data from a Salesforce Object and which has about 262,000 rows and growing, the data loads fine in Power Query on Excel, but does not in the BI desktop it loads 146,001 and says one error, another time it was 128,001 and one error,
so i did the data model on Excel and uploaded to Power BI, it got loaded but on refresh the same issue happened, it loaded 146,001 rows but did not give any error
really struggling to find an issue or a solution
thanks

Hi @Chathurangaab were you able to find a solution? As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party connector, which pulls data from the SF objects API. I've tried windsor.ai, supermetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Salesforce connector in the data sources list:
After that, just grant access to your Salesforce account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your Salesforce fields:
There just select the fields you need. It is also compatible with custom fields and custom objects, so you'll be able to export them through windsor. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
PowerQuery for Excel and PowerBI uses essentially the same stack to load data. So it's really weird to see one error out while the other works fine. Do they have the same bitness? (32/64)
It would help us to diagnose the problem better if you can share the screenshot when the error happened.
see thread here http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Extremely-Slow-Connection-to-Salesforce-since-update/m-p/113...
no solution yet it seems
