Date Parameter as a static date field for users to apply that links to a Stored Procedure in SQL

Hi there,

I have two dates that I want users to define themselves to pull through the data within SQL

i.e. as at X date how many employees were there and at another X date how many employees were there.

I then have a measure that calculates the average between these two counts. I have tried doing this by creating a date parameter but I can't get it placed on the dashboard for the user to apply themselves.

Any assistance or guidance will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Check out this YouTube video. I think it will help with what you are trying to achieve, may need to tweak it, but the concept should follow: https://youtu.be/pQ9eSnfAhnc?si=CSR5QSW1wB_DSHpS
