Date Hierarchy dissappears from when connecting template to a dataset

The date Hierarchy on all slicers resets to date "yyyy/mm/dd" and the hierarchy dissappears when connecting a Desktop template to a Dataset. Is there a setting to avoid this rather than updating all sliceres each and everytime I make changes to the template?

You should not use the hierarchy automatically created with auto datetime, you must create the hierarchy yourself in the calendar table, and then use that hierarchy in the slicer.

To create a manual hierarchy, open the model view, you must right click in one of the columns in you calendar table and choose create hierarchy.

then add the columns as you want:

Hi @Axiomite ,

I think you're using the auto datetime functionality that creates the date hierarchy automatically, and to avoid that problem and improve the model you should create a calendar table and connect it to the model.

If you need help creating a calendar table and connecting to the model i can guide you.

@SergioSilvaPT - many thanks for you advice. So I do have calendar table. But I also had the auto datetime functionality selected under options. I've unticked the box, however the problem persists. Do I need to do a complete data refresh for it to be "reset"? Or do I have to remove the autodate and re create the data table?
Many thanks for you help!
