Date Field Time Zone Fix

I have a date/time field that is pulling from an API that is not in my time zone. Is there a way I can convert the timezone to show CST?

Hi ThePowerBIQueen ,

To see you local timezone, use power query function:

DateTimeZone.LocalNow()

Or DAX function:

LocalTime = now()

To change timezone, use power query function:

 = DateTimeZone.SwitchZone(dateTimeZone, timezoneHours , timezoneMinutes )

In addtion, please refer to:

Hello,

Sorry for open an old post but I have the following problem: I'm importing tables through SQL SERVER and the date/time fields are in a different time zone. I have the code to convert via SQL (to_char(cast ...) but sometimes I import the whole table instead of writing a query.

How to convert date/time fields to my time zone without add a new column?

Thank you!

Check out the DateTimeZone.SwitchZone function in Power Query. You can use that to add/subtract hours from your source time zone to your current time zone.

DAX is for Analysis. Power Query is for Data Modeling
