Dataverse credentials

Hello,

I created a report connected to SQL and Dataverse. I loaded it in the Service and all is working fine.

Today I opened again the report in PBI Desktop and I get an error when clicking the Refresh button: it ask me the credentials to connect again to Dataverse (see the following image)

PBI 1.pngThen I click the Sign in button and I get this error:

PBI 2.png

So I clear my credentials (File > Options and settings > Data source settings) and try again, but nothing changes. I can enter in PowerApps and Dataverse without any problem, so I think that it's a PBI related issue... any idea?

Thank you in advance for your help

Hi  @Anonymous ,

Power BI option enables the possibility to use your default browser to load the oAuth page.

If the authentication window for Power BI (or data connector) can't open for some reason, this option allows you to use your default web browser to authenticate instead.

This solution worked for me, however every single day it's asking me to edit my credentials again.  It only seems to be happening to my reports that are a direct import to the Dataverse.  I have one report that connects to several environments within Dataverse and I updated every single credential to each query in the report and the next day requires me to do it again.  This was fine for the past few months, what has changed?

Hello,

I have enabled this option and also update PBI Desktop and now it works.

Many thanks @v-luwang-msft!
