Datatype not showing in calculated table using INFO.VIEW.MEASURES()

Hello,

I am looking to use the INFO.VIEW.MEASURES() within a calculated table.
When I run the command via DAX Query View there is no issue.
However, when I use it within a calculated table the datatypes are all shown as Blank.

Is this a known issue/limitaion or does anyone know of a fix?

Datatypes in DAX Query View using INFO.VIEW.MEASURES()

Datatypes in Calculated Table using INFO.VIEW.MEASURES()

Thank you!

  • Hi Tors  - Yes, this is a known limitation when using INFO.VIEW.MEASURES() inside a calculated table in Power BI.

Use INFO.VIEW.MEASURES() in DAX Query View for Debugging

If your goal is to inspect measures and their datatypes, running the query separately in DAX Query View is the best option.
Store the Output in an External Table

Instead of using it in a calculated table, consider exporting the output from DAX Query View and loading it as a separate dataset.
    Manually Assign Data Types

If you still want to use it in a calculated table, create a new column to manually assign datatypes based on measure names.

    Hope this works.
