Is there a way in Power BI desktop to remove an existing table within a dataset, and re-add the same tableto that dataset? I was told by our company's IS group that this could be done in order to resolve database connection access issue, and that it would NOT disturb the applied steps already tied to that table.

@elliobr , for the database connection issue
go to Home Table-> Data Transformation -> Data Source credential -> Clear permission and refresh one table
You need to add credentials again
Deleting a table will delete custom columns and relationships
Thanks. So, it sounds like there's no way to successfully delete a table in Power Query and reattach without upsetting any of the Table query Applied Steps. I didn't think so either, but I was told by my IS group that this could be done in the dataset. Again, thanks.

After rereading your response, perhaps you're simply suggesting how to fix the connection issue w/o deleting tables. Please confirm.
