Hello guys, I can't establish the connection of my Datamart with a DB in Postgres SQL that is in an external server.
Could you help me
When I try to connect to data source this is the error that trow me, I don't know if i need make an extra configuration on the the DB server or not, I have stablished the connection from de PBI Desktop to this DataBase of PostgresSQL without proble, but when I try to connect from Datamart it Happend.
@LD8219 , If external means cloud then make sure the ip whitelisting is not needed, if needed refer
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/admin/power-bi-allow-list-urls
If external means a datacenter, not a cloud, you might need an on-premise gateway.
Also check need of SSL
Hello Amitchandak thanks por answered, the Database that I want to access from my Datamart is mounted on an external server in Postgres SQL, it is not in the cloud, I do not have administrative permissions on said server, but through my power BI Desktop I can access the database with user and pass and import its tables to build my reports.
From the browser, once I create my Datamart, when I go to obtain the tables of said Database, it throws me the error of the image in the comment below.
The only way to access this data from the Datamart is with an on-premise gateway.??
