Database Connection in PowerBI Desktop

Hi All,

I have a question on connection.

How can I have a developer create reports from Power BI desktop with an existing connection to database?

I don't want the developer to create connection on his own since I don't want to share the connection credentials.

How this can be achievable in Power BI? Is there a connection file that the developer can import some thing like that?

@johnpjustus , Ways I can think of is

Create a connection in power bi file add tables and then give that file to developer

Load add tables to dataflow in power bi service and ask the developer to use tables from dataflow

Create a power bi filer with connection, tables, model, and calculated columns; then publish it. Ask the developer to use the dataset to create measure and visual
