Data type & formatting

Data type & formatting is erratic.

Query 1.png

I have two columns that are €. When I import them from SQL Server, first one format is not identified, so I specify column type to '$' fixed decimal number. When displayed in a table, € symbol is not displayed.

The second one is identified as '$' fixed decimal number, but when displayed in a table, I obtain things like '356,4199999998' instead of '356,42'. But in the query editor, all values have only two decimals. I've tryed to create a new column using ROUND, CEIL, FLOUR, ROUND.DOWN and ROUND.UP, but result is the same. I've tryed ROUND(value * 100; 0)/100 and the error persists.

@jsanjose I am unable to reproduce your issue. Does your column under Modelling tab looks like this ? From '$' dropdown I've selected $ and viewing it in Table visual.

Thank you! I was not using "Modeling" format for columns correctly, so I was trying to model columns on query view.
