Hi all,
I have a xls file "follow up.xlsx" hosted in a sharepoint folder that I use as my main data source in a PBI dashboard.
Once a year, this file is archived in a folder named "follow up archive", the file is given the same name + year "follow up 2022.xlsx".
The thing is that I want my data source to be also linked to the archive files since there are KPIs that are followed and hence need full history of the follow up.
Hence, how can I use the follow up current file + all archived files as a unique data source? They have the same structure.
Thanks
Hi @Medmbchr ,
You need to import all the archive files and current file into Power BI. Then you will have to append them all into a single dataset on top of which you can report on.
Refer the below link for Append functionality
Hi @Medmbchr ,
Please try to change the datasource because the structure is same.
In Power BI Desktop, please click "File"->"Options and settings"->"Data source settings"->choose the data source that you want to change, then click "Change Source".

You can append the files -Current and Prev year file
Combine or Append Data in Power BI / Power Query: Main Concepts — The Power User
This will be once a year job for you to do which should be fine I guess
