Data showing incorrect Capacity number

Hi Guys,

I am trying to create a Demand and Capacity visual chart in Power BI for resources per month. I already have the data for both. However, the capacity numbers appear to be incorrect especially for those resources assigned to multiple Projects as it was showing duplicate numbers per Project. Now, when I create a chart, it sums up the Capacity numbers which throws off the data in my chart.

By the way, I used 2 tables to compute for Capacity and below is the measure that I used:

Capacity = RELATED(RM_Roster[Work Hours]) * RELATED(Calendar_Workdays[Number of Working Days])

The goal is for the "Capacity" numbers to be at a resource level rather than Project level so it should not show as duplicate.

Resource NameProject NameMonthDemandCapacity
OnshoreProj-AJanuary100160
OnshoreProj-BJanuary30160
OnshoreProj-CJanuary30160
OffshoreProj-AJanuary80180
OffshoreProj-BJanuary30180
OffshoreProj-CJanuary30180
OffshoreProj-DJanuary40180

I hope you could help me and provide a solution for this. Thank you!

Hi @Cici ,

Try to create column Capacity using DAX below.

Capacity =CALCULATE( RELATED(RM_Roster[Work Hours]) * RELATED(Calendar_Workdays[Number of Working Days]),FILTER(ALLSELECTED(Table1),Table1[Resource Name]=EARLIER(Table1[Resource Name])))

Best Regards,

Amy

Hi Amy,

Thanks for your help! I tried the DAX below but there's an error that says:

"Too many arguments were passed to the ALLSELECTED function. The maximum argument count for the function is 1."

Hi @Cici ,

You may miss brackets in measure, find it and try it again.

Amy
