I have a question re the inputting of date parameters to filter reports. I do a lot of ssrs reports in visual studio, and I'm thinking how I would replicate these in pbi. For instance, a lot of reports include a data parameter in ssrs to run, an example being a caseload report, such as referral date is less than month end and referral discharge is greater than month end or the discharge date is null. Is there a way I can replicate this in pbi desktop? I don't think using a sliver would work in this situation.
many thanks
guess that depends on where you want the rendering to happen. You could do a lift and shift and use paginated report visuals in Power BI. Or you could load your data model into Power BI and let the user do the filtering and real time rendering.
