Hello! I am working on a PowerBI report (not yet published, still in progress). I noticed my calculations were incorrect in calculating a monetary sum because I had mistakenly originally set the data type for a line to be "whole number" when it should have been fixed decimal as not all of the prices were whole, rounded numbers and some included cents (ie $12.43 instead of $12). I went into "Transform Data" and changed the Data Type to Fixed Decimal and hit close and apply, and then I hit refresh. However, the data is not updating to include the cents and is still using the whole numbers. I checked that the data type change had saved and it did, and there don't seem to be any connection issues between the live sheet and the PowerBI desktop. I also tried restarting the program to see if it was just a timing error. Is there anyway to get the data to refresh so that it includes the decimals as it should? Thank you!

For anyone else who comes across this issue, I finally solved it. I had to go into the Transform Data View. Even though I had assigned the proper data type and it was appearing as such, to actually change the information coming in (ie to get that .45 cents to come in), I had to go over to the right side of the screen under "Applied Steps" and remove the first, original, incorrect type I had originally assigned the data. To do so, I clicked the "X" next to that step to remove it. This finally updated my data. (To find which step you are looking for to remove, click on the step, and in the formula box that appears above the data, make sure the correct column name is listed and the type that you set it to).
Check the number format is set to either General or Decimal number (while the type is decimal, it might still be formatted as a whole number)
This is purely a display thing btw. There might be other places in your calculations (measures or columns or even in the formatting of the visual elements) where you might be rounding or formatting as a whole number.

Thanks, your change did at least add the decimal points. However, it is still saying .00 even on data where there should be cents on the dollar. Is there another way to get this to update properly? thanks so much for your help, I didn't even notice the format option!
