Data not Refreshing Properly after Type Change
- Anonymous1 year ago
For anyone else who comes across this issue, I finally solved it. I had to go into the Transform Data View. Even though I had assigned the proper data type and it was appearing as such, to actually change the information coming in (ie to get that .45 cents to come in), I had to go over to the right side of the screen under "Applied Steps" and remove the first, original, incorrect type I had originally assigned the data. To do so, I clicked the "X" next to that step to remove it. This finally updated my data. (To find which step you are looking for to remove, click on the step, and in the formula box that appears above the data, make sure the correct column name is listed and the type that you set it to).
Check the number format is set to either General or Decimal number (while the type is decimal, it might still be formatted as a whole number)
This is purely a display thing btw. There might be other places in your calculations (measures or columns or even in the formatting of the visual elements) where you might be rounding or formatting as a whole number.
