Data driven Buttons?

I have a report made of many tiles depicting the company KPI's.  I can quickly switch the KPI on display as I have a lookup table that contains all of the KPI config details.  The switch is controlled by a Visual level filter on the card.

I also have transparent buttons that overlay the card visuals to control the navigation action.  I can't find a way to achieve the same behaviour on the button as there is not a "Visual level Filter" option on buttons.  I want my buttons to lookup the KPI table as above and pick up the relevant URL.

At present each button has to be individually and manually configured with the URL.

Can anyone think of a good solution?

Hi Chenwu,

Good thinking and thanks for the response.  This is a solution that I originally tested to control the Vard Visual.

This solution does work; however, with this solution you must disable the Slicer Interaction on all visuals that the slicer is not relevant to.  I have 40+ card visuals with buttons.  This means I would need to disable circa 1521 slicer interactions.  (1* 39 * 39)

I figured out how to do this better using a simple filter for the Card visuals (Filters on this visual).  Unfortunately, there is no "Filters on this visual" for Buttons. 😞

Thank you for taking the time to reply and for your suggestion.

Further info:

Two contributing factors are preventing this from working the way I'd like:

  1. The OKViz Card visual does not have an "Action" configuration to handle URL navigation
  2. Cannot apply a "Visual Level Filter" to Buttons
