Hello Everyone, Hope you are doing well,

 I am using power BI desktop version on my laptop, my problem is when i creat project (Dashboard) and I connected the source file on my computer and every thing its ok, but if i want share this file using share porint to my collegues they need to reconnect the source file again if they want to edit something, its too hard process because some times we have too much data source. I read about manage parameters but i cant understand the concept of it and all videos about SQL , especially that I used an (Excel sheets not SQL database). Thanks in advance

Hi @Anonymous ,

Could you mean to upload your pbix file to the sharepoint to share it? If so, I think they may not have acess to edit your datasource, the parameters in query editor with sql is based on the users that could have access to the database:

So, I am afraid it is not suitable for you.

So you mean that is no possible way to avoid reconnect to data source from other users on share point , and this possible if my sources not excel sheet ,just sql database? even if i upload data sources to share point also ?

Yes, based on my test, each user who wants to switch different data soure need to reconnect.
