Hi how can a colleague refresh my reports whilst I am on leave.  they are able to save and upate the source data however cannot refresh the report please help... thanks

Hi @Sharif_shafiq1 ,

Personal gateway means that  you can use it yourself only.

And Personal gateway runs as an application so that it will shut down when you leave

I suggest you to install  Enterprise gateway  since personal mode has many limitations.

You could refer to Official tutorial for help.

@Sharif_shafiq1 , other than few source where power bi service can directly access the source and refresh, you need gateway

I have installed a personal gateway however this does not seem to work my colleague can refresh however the report does not update.  Can you give step by step instructions please.  tx

@Sharif_shafiq1 , have you setup a gateway(if needed) on common machine and schedule a refresh on power bi service

thanks for your response, no i havent set up a gateway, how do I do that and why do I need to ?
